Solo Show and more

Hi Subscriber First Name, welcome back to the monthly newsletter where I’ll share upcoming events. The sun is sticking around longer and I feel like my spirit is taking note.

The highlight of this letter is I have a solo show opening May 22nd at Box 13. I really hope you can make it. I will be sharing work I made last year that hasn’t yet been exhibited outside Tennessee!

The Houston Poetry & Arts Festival (HPAF)

I will be vending as Rear-View Press (my new press name!) at HPAF this Saturday, April 25th, 10am-4pm at the Orange Show (2334 Gulf Terminal Dr, Houston TX.)

HPAF is a festival of literary and arts performances, vendors, speakers, and other activities for all ages. You can find the festival schedule here and more info on instagram @htxpaf.

Artist Breakfast Exhibition

I’m in a group show at Ruth Street Projects / Stinson House this Saturday, April 25 from 4-8pm (It’s the opening and block party). I’m actually not sure which space I’m in but they are both nearby each other walking distance in this joint show. Also on view by appointment April 25-May 3. Addresses below:

Box 13 Fundraiser and Art Auction

Saturday, May 9th 7-10pm. Come party and get some art! Your support helps keep Box 13 alive.

I will be raffling off a private riso class! And auctioning one of my screenprinted fabric pieces (left).

My solo show is coming up! There will be prints, drawings, and an installation. The work is a metallic reflection on going out, disappointments, and creating temporary spaces of queer hopefulness. I hope you can come see it <3

Luck of the Draw

I have work in DiverseWorks’ fundraiser, Luck of the Draw, happening Thursday May 14 from 7-10pm at MATCH gallery, 3400 Main Street, Houston TX. The way it works is you can purchase a ticket to the party for $150 and Art Chances for $200 each. When the lucky winner’s Art Chance number is drawn, you choose an artwork to bring home. You could be lucky winner! Find tickets here.
