Intro to Risograph - Collage
Intro to Risograph - Collage
Ever been curious about risograph printing? Artists and creatives adore this method of printmaking for its accessible nature, bright overlaying colors, and beautiful textures. Artist and Box 13 member Gaby Hurtado-Ramos will lead a demonstration and collaborative workshop on how to use the risograph to make drawing and collage-based prints. This is a great way to jump into the basics and come away with layered prints on letter-sized paper. Spaces are limited to 6 to accommodate for a chance to operate the machine.
All materials are provided. Come away with an edition of 15 prints.
Feel free to bring soft objects like yarn or printed images to collage with. There will also be collage materials available for all.
The risograph machine is a single-drum, EZ 221U with black and seafoam green ink.
Risograph is loved for its imperfections. Come ready to experiment and be open to the unknown outcomes in the process.
